H0e Scale (Narrow Gauge)

H0e Gauge Storage – Safely Store and Transport Narrow Gauge Models

With Feldherr's custom-made storage and transport solutions, you can keep your H0e gauge model trains safe for the long term. Precision-cut foam inserts and sturdy Eurocontainers reliably protect locomotives, railcars, and wagons – on the shelf at home and on the road to exhibitions or club meetings.

Compatible Gauge & Models

H0e represents narrow gauge railways in H0 scale (1:87) on 9 mm track – typical for prototypes with a real-world gauge of around 750 to 800 mm, such as the Zillertalbahn or the Saxon narrow gauge railways. The inserts and boxes are precisely matched to this gauge and fit models from popular manufacturers such as Bemo, Liliput, or Tillig.

  • Eurocontainers 40 × 30 & 60 × 40 cm – stackable, with foam insert, ideal for larger collections and transport
  • Foam inserts, upright & flat – precision-cut, multiple models per compartment
  • Suited to small, delicate narrow gauge locomotives and short wagons

Upright or Flat Storage?

Both options are available. Upright storage saves space and gives you a quick overview of your collection. Flat storage protects heavy or particularly delicate models and doubles as a display option. Matching foam spacers keep the models securely separated.

Why Feldherr Foam?

The fine-pored specialty foam is chlorine- and acid-free, age-resistant, and UV-stable – keeping paintwork and fine add-on parts protected long-term, so your models stay in top condition. Custom-fit, Eurocontainer-compatible, and space-saving: this is how you store your collection with precision – more convenient than original boxes or improvised DIY solutions. Quality made in Germany.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the foam gentle on paintwork and add-on parts? Yes. The fine-pored Feldherr foam is chlorine- and acid-free as well as age-resistant, and specifically designed to protect sensitive paintwork and fine add-on parts. This keeps your models in top condition even during long-term storage.

Should I store my H0e models upright or flat? Upright storage saves space and gives you a clear overview, while flat storage protects heavy or delicate models and also serves as a display. Matching inserts are available for both options.

How do I keep my models safely spaced apart? With the matching foam spacers, every locomotive and wagon sits cleanly separated – securely stowed, even during transport.

Do I still need the original packaging? No. The precision-cut inserts replace the original boxes, save space, and make every model instantly accessible – for quick, easy loading and unloading.

How do I safely transport my collection to an exhibition? The stackable Eurocontainers with foam inserts keep your models securely in place during transport to exhibitions, module meetings, or club get-togethers.

How many models fit in one box? Depending on the insert, up to 13 compartments per Eurocontainer; each compartment can hold several vehicles side by side, depending on their length.

Are the boxes stackable and space-saving? Yes. The Eurocontainers are stackable and can be stored space-efficiently in a cabinet or on a shelf.

Does the foam protect against dust and UV light? The foam is UV-stable, and the lockable lid reliably keeps dust and dirt out.
